Why Luma Path
The benefits of working with us
A design process built around your comfort, clarity, and the long-term quality of your space.

What working with Luma Path gives you
Interior design should make your life easier — before, during, and long after the project ends. These are the qualities we hold ourselves to.
A practice that listens first
We invest time at the beginning to understand how you actually use your space — not just what it needs to look like. This early attention is what makes the end result feel personal rather than generic.
3D visualisation before you commit
With our Layered Design Service, you see detailed renders of your space before any materials are ordered or walls are touched. Decisions are made with confidence, not guesswork.
Defined timelines and clear scopes
Each service has a published duration. Our Veil Consultation is delivered within a week; design work runs 5–9 weeks; renovation support 8–14 weeks. You know what to expect and when.
No hand-offs to junior staff
The designers and coordinators who meet you at the start are the same people working on your project throughout. You're not passed between teams as the job progresses.
Detailed, usable specifications
Design documents are written so that contractors can follow them without interpretation. This reduces errors, cuts unnecessary back-and-forth, and protects your investment through the build.
Residential and hospitality expertise
We understand the different demands of a home and a commercial space. Whether it's a private apartment or a boutique café, our approach is adjusted to suit how the space will actually be used.
In Depth
What each benefit means in practice
Professional expertise
Our team brings together architectural training, material knowledge built through years of sourcing, and direct renovation experience. We understand how spaces work, not just how they should look on a mood board.
- Background in architecture and spatial design
- 8+ years of completed residential projects
- Ongoing knowledge of Malaysia's materials market
140+ completed projects across KL
Two revision phases included
A process that adapts
Design isn't linear. Our Layered Design Service includes two structured revision phases precisely because the first full presentation often prompts useful changes of direction. We build that into the timeline, not treat it as an additional cost.
- Revision phases at agreed milestones
- Written feedback taken seriously
- Scope changes handled transparently
Support that continues
For clients using our Soft Handover service, we remain actively present during renovation — not just available by phone. Site visits happen at key milestones so that problems are caught early, not after completion.
- Site visits at build milestones
- Contractor communication handled by us
- Concluding styling session at handover
Present from first meeting to final styling
Transparent fees from MYR 430
Clear, staged pricing
All service fees are published and agreed in writing before work begins. There are no hidden additions or surprise charges. For multi-phase projects, payment is structured around milestones rather than demanded upfront in full.
- Published pricing per service
- Milestone-based payment structure
- No hidden extras or ambiguous charges

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive features of our practice
The Veil Consultation as a standalone service
Unusually, our initial consultation is a full, paid deliverable — not a brief free call. Clients receive a written document and mood palette regardless of whether they proceed further. This means the conversation is substantive from the very start.
Atmosphere as a design variable
Most design briefs focus on furniture and finishes. We also address lighting temperature, acoustics, scent potential, and how a room's atmosphere shifts throughout the day — dimensions that are often overlooked but deeply felt.
Tropical climate awareness
We design with Malaysia's climate as a real factor — high humidity, intense afternoon light, monsoon rain. Material and colour choices account for how spaces feel in these conditions, not just how they photograph in controlled studio lighting.
Written communication throughout
Decisions made in conversation are always confirmed in writing. Clients have a clear record of what was agreed, what was changed, and why. This reduces confusion and builds a foundation of mutual trust over the course of a project.
